BIKE SETUP, MEDIA AWARENESS AND SPONSORSHIP SEMINARS

If you go racing, then you need money. Pure and simple! You can either do it out of your own pocket or you can go and seek sponsorship. If you want to get sponsorship then you can not afford to miss this seminar.

If you are ever likely to get interviewed by the media whether it is print, or TV, then it is important that you know what to say and what not to say. If you are going to compete in the MRRDA series in 2007, there is every chance that you will get interviewed for both. If you want to be a PR dream rather than a PR nightmare, then you can not afford to miss this seminar.

If you want to know more about bike setup from one of Australia 's most respected Race Team Managers, then you need to be at this seminar. Paul Free from Honda has an impeccable background in both racing and team management. He is here to impart knowledge that only years of experience can bring.

In fact at $50 this is a seminar not to be missed , whether you intend to race in the MRRDA, or any other series. (if you have raced in the MRRDA series then this seminar will only cost $25. If you haven't yet raced in the series but do in 2008, you will get a $25 rebate on your first entry to an MRRDA meeting, so that means the seminar will only have cost you $25)

It is worth noting that we have worked out the costs for these seminars to you, will just about cover our costs.  If there is any money left over, which won't be much, it will all go back into the MRRDA series.  Everybody is giving their time for free to help you .  For those who attended last years seminars you will note that the cost has been drastically reduced courtesy of support from Honda. This is an example of how Honda and the MRRDA are trying to help the Aussie race scene.  If you are asking the question why? Then you wouldn't be the first.  If we can help you get sponsorship and be PR dreams, then you will have more money and motivation to come racing .  This will help build the series and the Aussie race scene in general.  Everybody wins and all we had to do was give up a bit of time and put in a bit of effort.  Isn't racing worth it? We think it is.

So what do you get for your money?

MEDIA AWARENESS
What is it about Valentino Rossi that made him a PR dream even before he got his first world title?  Why is it that Casey Stoner has always been mentioned in TV coverage? Sure they can ride a bike like probably nobody else on this planet right now can, but there is more to it than that.  When was the last time you heard them have a real go at the bike, the team, or they're chances? Sure they have both said that the bike needed some work, but have you ever heard them really bag it?  Think about it!

We all know that Westy can ride. So why is that he really struggled to get into a first class team?

The answers to these questions and much more will be given to you in the Media Awareness part of this seminar. It is important to you, your Sponsors and to the sport, that if interviewed you present yourself in a manner that befits all parties.

Mick Matheson, Editor of AMCN will present his thoughts and observations. We hope he will give you an insight into the good the bad and the ugly when it comes to interviewing techniques.

Again we have to thank Mick who has offered to give up his time for free to help you. This just goes to show not only his, but also AMCN's committment to helping the sport we love.

Bike Setup

Honda are more than just a financial supporter of the MRRDA. They are far more than just suppliers of bikes for us to go racing on. They have years of experience and a passion for the sport. Their involvement with the off track activities with the MRRDA just goes to prove this point.

So who better to come and talk to us about bike setup than the manager of the Honda race team Paul Free.

Paul has experience as a racer and a team Manager and will take us through various aspects of bike setup. What other opportunity to you get to meet and hear what Paul has to say?
