05/10/2008 - Junior Shootout

The top 3 in the 2008 series have all been to Broadford for a shootout to see who gets the coverted Red Bull rookies Cup trials prize. Michael Jones, Ryan Dymond and Josh Hook all took to the track on 125Gp bikes prepared by K1 racing. Under the watchful eye of sereis coach Terry Paviell, Series Partner Steve Brouggy of the California Superbike School and Honda Australia and Motologic's Paul Free, the 3 Juniors spent 2 days getting to grips with the 125's. Each had their own style both in the way they tackled the bikes and getting to the quicker lap times. "This is a really tough one" said Steve Brouggy as he tried to work out who was best suited to head off to Europe. the process included interviewing both the Juniors and their parents separately as well working wiht them on the track. In the end it was decided taht Ryan Dymond would again head off to europe with Michael Jones getting the Honda 250H ride for 2009 and Josh Hook heading off to Motegi to represent Australia in the Asean Cup.
