It is only with support from the clubs that this series can happen at all. Fortunately we have 3 clubs as part of the MRRDA that are probably the best 3 clubs for road racing in Australia. These 3 clubs have already shown foresight with their support of the Formula 400 Tri-State. They put their necks on the line to assist something that had not been done before and are now reaping the rewards with fields of between fifty and eighty 400's at the Tri-State rounds. These clubs are again putting themsleves on the line to be a part of this series. With representation on the MRRDA committee they are as much a part of the MRRDA as anybody else.
Without theses clubs we would not have officials, or the administration to put together and run the race meetings, so we must all thank and support these clubs and their members for everything that they do for motorcycle road racing and in this case for being a part of the MRRDA.
Each race meeting will be run by one of the clubs. Each will have agreed on the format of the meeting through the MRRDA committee, however on the day the meeting belongs to the club. As such all entry fee's and spectator fees will rightly go to the club. So every time you enter an MRRDA race meeting you are supporting the clubs. Every spectator that comes along and buys an entry ticket is supporting the club. It is worth noting that the very constitution of the clubs states that if they make a profit, they must put it back into the sport. So supporting these clubs is supporting your sport. Working in this manner both the MRRDA and Clubs hope to be able to grow the series into something that we can all be proud of, by feeding any monies brought into the series back into it, keeping entry fee's low and services high.
Behind each of these clubs is a swag of volunteers that give up their time for free so we can go racing. Fortunately for us there are far too many to mention. But if you go to a meeting and see one of these many officials we would recommend that you take the time to go and thank them. Without them we would not have the sport that we love.
